Lovina Marie Yoder, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Montezuma, GA on December 4th, 2024 surrounded by her family. Lovina was born on September 3,1951 to the late William and Emma Yoder in Princess Anne, VA. She was baptized in her youth and was a member of Word of Life Christian Fellowship. Early in life, Lovina worked at Yoder’s Bakery, the bakery she owned and operated in Montezuma, GA. After being burned in a tragic accident, she sold her bakery and moved to Virginia Beach, VA to become a school teacher, where she met Roy Yoder, the love of her life. They were married on August 10, 1985 and spent 39 years together. She is survived by her two sons, Jonathan (Victoria) Yoder and Kurtis Yoder both of Montezuma, Ga and her precious grandson, Phoenix, whom she dearly loved. Also surviving are her brothers, Norman (Vera) Yoder; William (Lila) Yoder; Ernest (Ellen) Yoder; David (Dianne) Yoder, all of Montezuma; Ivan (Rosemary) Yoder of Lexington, IN, and sister Susan (Mahlon) Petre of Renick, WV, sister-in-laws Kathryn Yoder and Susan Faye Yoder, both of Montezuma, GA. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul Yoder and Noah Yoder, as well as her niece Margaret Yoder. Visitation will be on Friday, Dec 6th, from 5:30 pm-8:00 pm. The funeral will be on Saturday, Dec 7th, at 11:00 am with an optional viewing from 10:00 am-10:45 am before the service begins. A graveside service will be held immediately following the funeral.
