MONTEZUMA, GA - Mr. Lonnie Clinton Peaster, 73, of Montezuma, Georgia, entered into rest on May 10, 2019.
He was born in Montezuma, Georgia on October 27, 1945 to the late Phil Peaster and Helen Bartlett Peaster. He was employed by Haugabook Oil Co for twenty years as warehouse manager, then he retired and he and his wife, Helen were owner/operators of their own trucking company for ten years when they both retired.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Valley Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia. Rev. Damon Fountain and Rev. Mike Truitt will officiate. Burial will follow at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Helen Peaster of Montezuma, Georgia; four daughters: Connie Brannen (Keith) of Columbus, Georgia, Lisa Boyte (Scott) of Phenix City, Alabama,Angie Mathews (Tom) of Montezuma, Georgia and Angie Peaster of Smith Station, Alabama; two brothers: David Peaster (Darlene) of Warner Robins, Georgia and Robert Peaster (Debbie) of Andersonville , Georgia; Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Shannon Boyte, Cami Brannen, Erica Kitchens, Kelsey Brannen, Kyle Lott, Austin Hobbs, Sydney Granados, Keller Peaster, Emily Claire Brannen, Tate Peaster and one great-grandchild, Eli Boyte along with many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Clinton Cheyenne Peaster, a grandson, Jeremy Scott Boyte, a brother, Travis Peaster and two sisters; Carol Melton and Cathy Hobbs.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be sent to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 1001 Johnson Ferry Rd., Atlanta, Georgia 30342-1605.
