Mrs. Lillian S. Huckaby, age 91 of Byromville, GA passed away Friday night, March 27, 2009 at Summerhill Senior Living in Perry, GA.

Funeral services were held at 11 AM. Monday, March 30, at Byromville Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Blankenship officiating. Interment followed in the Swearingen Cemetery near Byromville.

Mrs. Huckaby was born March 21, 1918 in Dooly County. She resided in the Byromville area until the last seven years of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband J. C. Huckaby; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Summerford; two sons, Jack Huckaby and James (Buddy) Huckaby; a grandson, Ed Huckaby. She was a homemaker and seamstress at Genesco Inc. She was a member of Byromville Baptist Church, which she loved dearly.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Archie Welch of Macon, GA; five grandchildren, Hollie Nepveux (Gary) of Macon, GA, Tim Welch (Ticia) of Geneva, IL, Robin Williamson (Gino) of Elko, GA, Angie Messer (Tom) of Douglasville, GA, Michael Huckaby (Jennifer) of Covington, LA; thirteen great grandchildren, Summer, Chloe and Heartly Nepveux of Macon, GA, Clayton Welch of Geneva, IL, Michelle Smith of Fresno, CA, Thomas, Lindsey, Haylee and Joshua Williamson of Elko, GA, Brittney and Madison Messer of Douglasville, GA, Zachery and Jacob Huckaby of Covington, LA; a sister, Jerry Harley of Lakeland, FL and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Byromville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 126, Byromville, GA 31007 or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
