Lillian L. Cox, age 62, of Oglethorpe, GA went to be with her Lord, Thursday, January 5, 2012. Mrs. Cox was born September 28, 1949 to the late Lester and Agnes Barfield Cromer. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Taylor County Healthcare. Mrs. Cox was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Bakerfield Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 8, 2012 in the Chapel at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home at 3 pm with Rev. Greg Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband Bennie Leon Cox of Oglethorpe; two daughters, Cassie and James Bradley of Americus, Ga, and Kimberley and Dan Ward of Parkersburg, West Virginia. She is also survived by her siblings, two sisters and their spouses, Louise and Tommy Statham, Lagrange, Ga; Annie and Roy Williams of Americus, Ga; two brothers and their spouses Freddie and Brenda Cromer, Cordele, Ga; Thomas and Cathy Cromer, Leesburg, Ga. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews and two loving grand-dogs, Cookie Bradley and Bud Ward. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her son, Carl Cox and a brother, Leonard Cromer.
