MONTEZUMA, GA - Mrs. Lena Swartzentruber, age 80, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her home. A visitation and viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Montezuma Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Montezuma Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Swartzentruber was born August 14, 1934 to the late Noah W. Yoder and Sadie Schrock Yoder. She was a member of the Montezuma Mennonite Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swartzentruber was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Ruby Swartzentruber; a grandson, Robert Yoder; five sisters: Esther Kanapy, Vernie Brennamen, Freda Yoder, Elsie Brennamen, and Amanda Plank; and three brothers: William Yoder, Daniel Yoder, and Clarence Yoder.
Mrs. Swartzentruber is survived by her husband, Enos Swartzentruber of Montezuma, GA; eight children: Elmer Swartzentruber, Ernest (Barbara Jean) Swartzentruber, Esther (Mark) Yoder, Naomi (Rufus) Yoder, Delores (Eli, Jr.) Hostetler, Thelma (Merle) Miller, Grace Swartzentruber, all of Montezuma, GA, and Lenora (Lyndon) Hershberger of Brown County, OH. She also leaves behind two brothers: Allen Yoder of Fairview, MD and Noah Yoder, Jr. of Burgettstown, PA; one sister, Sarah Yoder; thirty-three grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
