ANDERSONVILLE, GA - Mr. Lee Grant Windham, 78, of Andersonville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Taylor County Health and Rehabilitation in Butler, Georgia.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Oglethorpe Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Ed Bryan and Rev. Tim Ferguson officiating.

Family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

The family request that the following serve as Honorary Pallbearers:Sheriff Leonard Johnson, Charles Cannon, Glen Lee Chase, James English and Dr. Richard Chase.

Burial will follow at the Oglethorpe Seventh-day Adventist Church Cemetery.

Lee was born on November 19, 1940 in Butler, Georgia to the late Otis D. Windham and Ione Carroll Windham. He retired from the Georgia Highway Department.Lee was a member of the Oglethorpe Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Lee was never happier than when he was outdoors tinkering on lawn mower motors, cutting and baling hay, or searching the area for arrowheads to add to his cherished collection.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gail Windham of Andersonville, Georgia and one sister, Grace Perdue in Gray, Georgia.Lee has three sons:Danny (Dianna) of Ellaville, Georgia; Jimmy (Kathy) of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Andy (Debbie) of Oglethorpe from his first marriage to Elene James Windham, who preceded him in death. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Jessica Windham, George Windham (Kristina), Connor Windham, Leah (Austen) Cannady, Dalton Windham, Dylan Windham; one great-grandchild, Abigail Windham.Along with his parents and wife, Elene, he is preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.
