ELKO, GA - Larry Edward Wilson, Age 48 of Elko, GA passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Perry Hospital after a long and brave fight with cancer.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM, Monday, May 2 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.
At other times, the family may be contacted at the residence, 174 Terrell Road in Elko.
Funeral services will be held at 4PM, Tuesday, May 3 at Henderson Baptist Church, 2813 Hwy 41 South, Elko, GA 31025. Rev. David T. Knight will officiate.His remains will lie in state one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will follow at Cedar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Montezuma.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the children.
Larry was born on December 7, 1962 in Marietta, GA to the late Bobby Neal Wilson, Sr. and Barbara Ann Pike Wilson.He owned and operated A & A Towing in Perry and Cars-R-Us in Montezuma. He was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church and attended Henderson Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting and playing golf.
Survivors include his children, Britney Wilson and Tyler Wilson of Elko, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Susan Wilson of Temple, GA; 3 nephews, 1 niece; and many other family members and friends.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.
