Lance Corporal Ted Steven Hudson, USMC, age 81, of Montezuma, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at his residence.
He will be laid to rest in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park. Services will be private.
Born September 29, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he was the son of the late Voyce Edward Hudson and Helen Horton Hudson. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a boxer while in the Marines and was a three-time Golden Glove Champion. He dearly loved spending time with his family and friends.
Today we remember the life of a dear Christian man, Ted. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Recella Hudson; two children, Michael Jack Hudson of Montezuma, Georgia and Robin Lyn Verolme of Montezuma, Georgia; three brothers Jimmy Doyle Hudson (Peggy) of Colorado, Jerry Hudson (Joann) of Wyoming, Michigan, and Earl Hudson (Ruth) of Wyoming, Michigan; an aunt, Phyllis Lapeakus of Wyoming Michigan. He also leaves behind three grandchildren: Marco Galle, Pierre Galle and Cody Galle; three great-grandchildren: Malachi Galle, Naaham Galle and Asher Galle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project.
