Kenneth Emil Hair

Montezuma, GA – Kenneth Emil Hair, age 88, of Montezuma, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, peacefully at his residence.

Services are scheduled for Thursday May 11 ^th , 2023 at 12:00 noon at The Rostrum at Andersonville National Cemetery with military honors in Andersonville, Georgia. Visitation with family present will be before the service at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home on May 11 ^th , 2023 from 11:00 am to 11:30 am. Pastor Tim Ferguson will be officiating the service.

Mr. Hair will lie in state for viewing from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10 ^th , 2023 at Watson- Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.

Emil was born on April 24, 1935, in Augusta, GA to the late Clarence Henry Hair and Gladys Hazel Carpenter Hair. He graduated from Macon County High. He worked as a parts man for over 50 years for International, John Deere, and Case International. He loved the red tractors the best. He loved his job and was said to be the best parts man in these parts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Germany and England during that time. He was a retired volunteer fireman with the Montezuma Fire Department.

Survivors include his son, Kenneth Edward Hair (Laurie) of Ellaville, GA, and daughter, April Hair Cross of Montezuma, GA; 4 Grandsons, Jordan Spradley (Cassie), Logan Hair, Ashton Cross and Aidan Cross; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
