Mr. Keith was born in Powdersville, S.C. on July 12, 1936 to the late Raymond Barton Bridges and Louree Barr Bridges.He graduated from Welcome High School in Greenville, S.C. and in 1959 earned his Bachelor's degree from Clemson University.Over the course of his career, he served in the Army Reserve, worked for Savings and Loans for over 30 years and later retired from a position in financial planning. Mr. Keith was a member of Ideal United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, March 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Ideal United Methodist Church with Rev. John Homer officiating the service. Family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Lockwood Cemetery in Ideal, Georgia.
He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife, Paula Joiner Bridges of Perry, Georgia; three children: Gregory Keith Bridges (Kim) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Jeffrey Kemp Bridges (Edna) of Cumming, Ga., Marvin Kerry Bridges (Heather) of Evans, Ga.; four siblings: Betty Tanner of Portsmouth, Va., William "Bill" Bridges of Greeneville, S.C., Eleanor Thompson of Hartwell, Ga. and Rebecca Burnett of Powdersville, S.C., and three grandchildren:LCpl Kyle David Bridges USMC, Caroline Alyssa Bridges, Lily Anne Bridges. Many nieces and nephews also survive.He is preceded in death by one sister, Jean Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ideal United Methodist Church, 202 Hoke Smith Avenue, Ideal, Georgia 31041.
