OGLETHORPE, GA - Kathy Kelley Windham, 61, of Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021, at her home.
Kathy was born May 5, 1959, in Reynolds, Georgia, to Billy and Shirlene (Thornton) Kelley. She graduated from Macon County High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbus State University. She worked as a medical technologist at Sumter Regional Hospital and Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for almost 40 years.
She was a member of Whitewater Baptist Church since her youth, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher, nursery worker, and VBS worker, and was a member of the D.P. Ward Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jimmy; her son, Connor Windham of Oglethorpe; her daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Austen Cannady of Americus; her granddaughter, Perry Elizabeth Cannady of Americus; her brother, Curtis Kelley of Oglethorpe; her aunt, Dot Bentley of Oglethorpe; special cousins, Tracy Fowler of Rupert and Sherri Martin of Oglethorpe; and a number of other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Pine Level Cemetery, 2817 Pine Level Road, Oglethorpe. Rev. Lance Bernard and Rev. Chris Hall will be officiating the service, and the Whitewater Baptist Deacons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Whitewater Baptist Church, 1955 S.R. 128, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
