Pamela “Kathy” Kathleen Gordon, 64 of Ideal, Georgia passed away, Friday, June 17, 2022 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Ideal Baptist Church in Ideal, Georgia. Rev. Sidney Clay and Rev. Tim Ferguson will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest at Little Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ideal, Georgia.

The family will be at her daughter’s residence at 1028 Brooks Road, Ideal, Georgia 31041.

Kathy was born on January 5, 1958 in Americus, Georgia to the late Albert Ray Womack and Gloria Peacock Womack. Kathy was the Mayor of Ideal, Georgia for over 16 years and was a member of Ideal Baptist Church. Kathy loved serving her community and her church family. Kathy worked for Middle Flint Behavioral Health Center as a social worker, before her retirement.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Gordon of Ideal, Georgia, one daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Joiner and Ricky of Ideal, Georgia; one sister, Terry Burton of South Carolina; one brother and sister-in-law, Albert Womack and Tammy of Americus, Georgia; three sisters-in-law, Lisa Morris and her husband Jimmy of Gadsden, Alabama, Angela Calhoun and her husband Ed Pastizzo of Leesburg, GA, Sandy Elkins and her husband Jason of Forsyth, Georgia; several nieces and nephews also survive.
