Kathleen Rodgers

Kathleen Womack Rodgers, age 86, of Andersonville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 2 pm at Pine Level United Methodist Church in Garden Valley with Rev. Lee Pettis and Rev. Tommy Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family members are asked to assemble at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. for the funeral procession to the church.

Mrs. Rodgers was born September 10, 1925 to the late Reuben Womack and Aggie Lee Ramsey Womack. She was employed as an Operator for Southern Bell for 36 years and also volunteered as a poll worker during elections in Americus, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Rodgers.

Mrs. Rodgers is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ernest & Linda Rodgers of Montezuma, Georgia; three granddaughters, Maggie (Wesley) Vallotton of Valdosta, Georgia, Betsy Rodgers of Montezuma, Georgia, and Lesley Rodgers of Cordele, Georgia; a great-grandchild, Smith Vallotton of Valdosta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
