MARSHALLVILLE, GA - Julian Watson, Sr., age 86, of Marshallville, GA passed away Friday night, November 14, 2014 in Perry, GA.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 2 p.m. until time of services at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Sandefur officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla, GA.
Born in Houston County, GA on July 29, 1928, he was the son of the late Lillian Estelle Speight and Larry Culpepper Watson. Before his retirement, he owned and operated Watson Shell Service in Marshallville, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wall Skipper Watson.
He is survived by his companion, Melanie Myers of Marshallville, GA; six children, Shirley Watson Thompson of Unadilla, GA, Faye Watson (Ray) Lambert of Perry, GA, Mary Watson McCarter of Perry, GA, Julian "Buck" (Donna) Watson, Jr., of Perry, GA, Larry Joe (ShanShan) Watson of Warner Robins, GA and Patricia Watson (Melvin) Crawley of Leesburg, GA; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.
Flowers will be accepted or donations to Friends of the Perry Animal Shelter.
