Mrs. Short was born October 16, 1952 in Montezuma, GA, to the late T.J. Harris and Oreca Cromer Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Williams Short, two brothers: Ricky Harris and Ted Harris; and three "honorary" sisters: Carla Sue Lund, Sharon Brown, and Janice Cromer.
Mrs. Short is survived by two daughters: Christy Short of Knoxville, TN, and Kimberly (Brian) Felker of Watkinsville, GA; and a brother, Danny Ray (Terri) Harris of Oglethorpe, GA. She also leaves behind two grandchildren: Nikko Felker and Dalvon Felker; two "honorary" sisters: Wanda Layfield and Brenda Brown; and a host of other family members.
