Juanita Martha Riddle
July 22, 1925 — January 27, 2013
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Montezuma United Methodist Church. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral services, 2 pm to 3 pm in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Riddle will lie in state in the church sanctuary for viewing from 2:00 to 2:45 pm. Rev. Billy Kimbrel and and Rev. Jimmy English will be officiating.
Mrs. Riddle was born July 22, 1925 in Elberton, Georgia to the late Lawrence Adams and Myrtie Higginbottom Adams. She was educated in the Elbert County Schools and graduated in 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winford Riddle and her grandson, Ron Riddle. She graduated from the Middle Georgia Hospital School of Nursing in December 1946. Mrs. Riddle worked at the Macon County Clinic for thirty-one years and upon it's closing, was employed by Dr. Richard Chase and Dr. Glynn Taunton for thirteen years. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Riddle is survived by her four children and their spouses; Faye & James D. Lester of Columbus, Ga, Ronnie & Joy Riddle of Cumming, Ga, Tammi & Charlie Johnston of Leslie, Ga, and Donnie Riddle of Montezuma, Ga; a sister, Eleanor Adams Vickers of Hawkinsville, Ga; and several loving sisters-in-law. She also leaves behind six grandchildren; Wendi Redding, Laura (Les) Rue, Jimmy (Mary Lucy) Lester, Zach Riddle, J.J. (Joe) Grimes, and April Fulks; and eleven great-grandchildren.
