MACON, GA - Joy Diane Elrod Gunnoe, 34, of Macon, Ga, formerly of Montezuma, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Cedar Valley Baptist Church. A memorial service will immediately follow at the church at 2:30 PM with Rev. Michael Truitt officiating.
Mrs. Gunnoe was born May 31, 1978 to John & Diane Elrod of Montezuma, Ga. She was a 1996 graduate of Macon County High School and a medical assistant graduate of South Georgia Technical College. She was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church in Montezuma, Ga. Mrs. Gunnoe also owned and operated North Macon Cleaning Services.
She is survived by her husband, Dion Gunnoe of Macon, Ga; her daughter, Emma Clare Gunnoe of Macon, Ga; her parents, John & Diane Elrod of Montezuma, Ga; two brothers, Shawn (Brandy) Elrod of Fitzgerald, Ga and Lee Elrod of Warner Robins, Ga; aunts and uncles, Virginia (Jim) Carlton of Zolfo Springs, Fl, Jean Campbell of Columbus, Ga, Kim (Buck) Knight of Milledgeville, Ga, and Sandra (Danny) Walker of Americus, Ga. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
