John Williams

John Otis Williams, age 80, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 7th, 2025. A memorial service will be held Wednesday February 19th, 2025 at Andersonville National Cemetery at 2 pm. John was born February 19th, 1944 in Highland Park, Michigan to Otis Chester Williams and Kathryn Elizabeth Snow Williams. He was distinguished war veteran, having served in Vietman earning several medals including the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietman Service and Campaign Medals as well as several others. He was also a devout Christian. John loved to spend time with his grandkids and go shopping. He had a large shoe and watch collection of which he was proud. John is survived by his two daughters, Rachel Ogden (Jim) and Erin Williams DeSmith (Kyle); grandchildren, Austin Ogden, Megan Ogden, Aidan Williams, and Justin DeSmith; and his great-grandchildren Samuel Augustus Mathis and Benjamin Elias Ogden. As well as his brother, Donald Glen Williams He is preceded in death by his parents; brother David Ronald Williams; and sister Jessie Alice Alder. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
