John "Bob" Peavy

John Robert “Bob” Peavy, 67, of Cordele, GA passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA.

Funeral services celebrating Bob’s life will be held Tuesday, 2:00 PM, November 7, 2023, at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Randy Harris will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Interment will follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma, GA.

Bob was born January 19, 1956 in Montezuma, GA to the late Alvin Peavy and Gladys Bellflower Peavy. Bob was also preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Peavy. Bob enjoyed turkey hunting and fishing in his spare time. Bob was a welder and pipe fitter for Imerys Refractory Minerals in Andersonville, GA.

Survivors include his sister, Melaney Peavy Jones (Tommy) of Reynolds, GA; a sister-in-law, Jean Duncan (Fred) of Vienna, GA; four nieces and nephews, Amanda Parker (Tim) of Cleveland, GA, Kevin Hines of Leslie, GA, Scott Peavy (Brandi) of Perry, GA and Stacy Saegeaser (Nick) of Warner Robins, GA; four great nephews, Austin Albritton (Loren), Hunter Albritton, Athon Hines and Dallas Parker (Logan) and two great nieces, Gracen Teate and Montana Hines.
