Mrs. Jones was born February 10, 1951 to the late Wilburn D. "Preacher" Watson and Mary Eve Spradley Watson. She was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones was best known for the love of her family, especially her three sons, and her contagious laugh. She was a mother to many- welcoming children into her home as her own.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Gilbert Jones, of Montezuma, GA; three sons: Christopher (Julie Anne) Jones of Macon, GA, Allan (Erin) Jones of Leonardtown, MD, and Michael Jones of Montezuma, GA; and six grandchildren: Hannah Jones, Rebecca Jones, Amelia Jones, Ava Jones, Megan Jones, and Duncan Jones. She also leaves behind five siblings: Kay (Larry) Belflowers of Montezuma, GA, Betty (George) Humes of Mexia, TX, Jimmy (Mary Kay) Watson of Oglethorpe, GA, Peggy June Barfield of Oglethorpe, GA and Cecile Williams of Oglethorpe, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
