Mrs. Tallent was born November 15, 1934 in Montezuma, GA, to the late Alex Pitts Sawyer and Mary Ida Henderson Sawyer. Mrs. Tallent was the Head Teller at the Bank of Macon County for eighteen years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edd Tallent.
Mrs. Tallent is survived by her children: John E. (Jenny) Tallent, Jr. of Grayson, GA and James A. (Lisa) Tallent of Rupert, GA; six grandchildren: Joy T. (Caleb) Hollis, Jill (Steven) Dobek, Jamie (Brad) Winterburn, Mallory (Mike) Blackston, Shelby (Nicholas) Smith, and Chelsea Tallent; and nine great-grandchildren: Landon Hollis, Jackson Tallent, Grace Ann Tallent, Colton Hollis, Braxton Hollis, Graham Dobek, Easton Dobek, Waylon Blackston, and John Tallent.
