MONTEZUMA, GA - Jessie Lee Horn, Jr., age 59, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Flint River Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at Cedar Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Truitt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Burial will follow at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma.
Mr. Horn was born January 18, 1953 in Hahira, Georgia to Jessie Lee Horn, Sr. and Rosa Bodrey Horn. He was an avid fisherman and loved uplifting people's lives by composing poems to uplift their spirits. Even though he had no children of his own, he was "Uncle Jessie" to a lot of children. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Lee Horn, Sr.
Mr. Horn is survived by his mother, Rosa Bodrey Horn of Montezuma, Ga; two sisters, Roselyn Starling of Oglethorpe, Ga and Sandy (Daryl) Pike of Elko, Ga; two nieces, Jessica (Jimmy) Hines and Summer (Bill) Turton; and a nephew, Josh Pike. He also leaves behind great-nieces and great-nephews, Rowdy Hines, Ashlyn Turton, Wyatt Turton, and Teagan Pike.
Flowers will be accepted, as will contributions to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
