Mr. Jerry B. Stephens, Sr., 74, of Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, at his home.
Born November 26, 1946, in Monroe, Georgia, he is the son of the late Troy Stephens and Lorine Grant Stephens.He was the Southern President and owner of the Georgia Wrestling Extreme and best known as Wrestler #2 of the GWE.Mr. Jerry was also the owner of the Mini Trotters Basketball Team.He worked in maintenance for over 20 years for Barrington Dairies in Montezuma, Georgia. Mr. Jerry was a man of many talents and above all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation with viewing will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia.As per his wishes, he will be cremated.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Shelby Stephens of Oglethorpe, Georgia; four children: Carol Wilson of Byron, Georgia, Tracy Lawrence of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Jerry B. Stephens, Jr. (Tina), of Hazelhurst, Georgia and Michelle Daniels of Oglethorpe, Georgia; three brothers: Timothy Stephens (Pam), Kenneth Stephens, and David Stephens, and a sister Patricia Scott (Frankie). And surviving are eight grandchildren: Dusty Vining, James Hannor, Shay Stephens, Marty Vining, Tori Stephens, Heather Plumley, Constance Lawrence, Waylon Daniels, several great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
