Mr. Peavy was born December 23, 1929 in Unadilla, GA to the late Julius Peavy and Jessie Mae Smith Peavy. He was a deacon and faithful member at Cedar Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Peavy served in the Army National Guard 48th Brigade and retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty-six years.
Mr. Peavy is survived by his wife, Minnie B. Peavy of Montezuma, GA; four children: Susan (T.C.) Peavy Sessions of Atlanta, GA, Elaine (Danny) Middlebrooks of Perry, GA, Angela (Buddy) Trussell of Montezuma, GA, and Jay (Shea) Peavy of Byron, GA; seven grandchildren: Jerry Brown, Jr., Crystal (Dale) Thorn, Danielle (Jarrod) Clark, Michelle (Josh) Grube, Brock Trussell, Mindi Trussell, Brailey Peavy, and Piper Peavy. He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren: Connor Clark, Chasen Thorn, Keller Peaster, Madelaine Thorn, Emerson Clark, Tate Peaster, Brianna Brown, and Dani Reese Grube. In addition, he leaves behind his cat, Midnight, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
