MONTEZUMA, GA - Jason Bray, 31, of Montezuma, Ga passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Visitation is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2013 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Montezuma with Rev. Randy Gregg and Rev. Lamon Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bray was born January 1, 1982 in Jackson, Mississippi and was a 2000 graduate of Southland Academy. He had a smile that could light up the room. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, J.R. Bray and J.B. Nelson.
Mr. Bray is survived by his parents, Joy & Wade Nelson of Montezuma, Ga and Eddie & Robin Bray of Perry, Ga; his fiance, Candace Marie Taylor of Arabi, Ga, his two children, Olivia Grace Bray and Landyn Keene Bray, both of Arabi, Ga; and three sisters, Jennifer Bray (Jason) Timmons of Leary, Ga, Brittany Nelson (Joey) Albritton of Savannah, Ga, and Jessica Bray of Perry, Ga. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Clarence & Mickey Keene of Oglethorpe, Ga, his paternal grandmother, Velma Bray of Marshallville, Ga, and his step-grandmother, Betty Nelson of Montezuma, Ga. In addition, he is survived by two nieces, Emma Lynn Timmons and Marisa Taylor; three nephews, Brayden Scott Timmons, Joseph Brinson Albritton and Ryan Hunter Albritton; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers: Aaron Brandt, Adam Fulghom, John Williamson, Bob Walker, Walt Medlin, and Blake Coogle.
