ANDERSONVILLE, GA - James "Sonny" Cromer, age 74, of Andersonville, GA passed away Tuesday evening, August 25, 2015 at his residence.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, August 27, 2015 in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Register officiating. Burial will follow in the Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma.
Mr. Cromer was born on April 4, 1941 in Montezuma, GA to the late Nell Vanzant Cromer and Otis Cromer. He was also preceded in the death by his wife, Pauline Cromer. He was a logger and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR in his spare time.
Survivors include his two daughters, Cathy (Victor) Weaver of Andersonville, GA, Barbara Peaster of Oglethorpe, GA; a son, Tim (Diane) Cromer of Andersonville, GA; a sister, Margie (Alvin) Cannon of Macon, GA; a brother, Kenny (Kellie) Cromer of Macon, GA; nine grandchildren, Steven (Amanda) Cromer, Crystal (Ben) Williamson, Jennifer (Marcus) Raper, Kate (Jed) Davis, Harley (Lance) Shi, Chad Harris, Buttons Jordan, Eliana Weaver, Anna Weaver and nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive.
