MONTEZUMA, GA - Mr. James Alan Lofley, age 68, of Montezuma, GA, formerly of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away Sunday morning, March 25, 2018 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday,March 30,2018 at the Rostrum at Andersonville National Cemetery.Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Mr. Lofley was born on November 15, 1949 at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late William James Lofley and Mildred Hackle Lofley. He was a retired electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 323 (728) in West Palm Beach, FL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. He loved to fish, hunt, read and coach his children's little league games when they were younger.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Constance Weeks Lofley of Montezuma, GA; his mother, Mildred Hackle Lofley of Blairsville, GA; three children, Meredith Plummer of Perry, GA, Michelle Lofley of Montezuma, GA and William Michael Lofley and his wife Fallon of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Lauri Hale and her husband Richard of Shalimar, FL; brother-in-law, Greg Weeks and his wife Susan of Perry, GA; five grandchildren, Savanna Plummer, Christopher Plummer, Jack Plummer, Teagan Lofley and Jackie Lofley; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Rd. SE, Smyrna, Georgia 30080 would be greatly appreciated.
