James M. "Jimmy" Hogg

November 7, 1937 — December 19, 2008

James M. "Jimmy" Hogg, Jr. age 71, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Friday morning, December 19, 2008 at the Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM., (Tonight) Saturday Dec. 20, at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.

The funeral will be held at 11 AM, Monday, Dec. 22. at Pine Level United Methodist Church in Oglethorpe, GA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Lee Pettis and Rev. Joy Wilson will officiate.

He was born on November 7, 1937 to the late James M. Hogg, Sr. and Ruth Medlock Hogg in Sumter County, GA. He worked with the Georgia Department of Transportation for 25 years as a maintenance worker. He was a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church and had a multitude of friends throughout the community.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Faith Curtis; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Sylvia Hogg of Oglethorpe, GA; four grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
