James "Mac" Hobbs

IDEAL, GEORGIA - James “Mac” Hobbs, 65, of Ideal, Georgia., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at his home. Mac was born on February 28, 1959, in Reynolds, Georgia, to late Felton and Louise Hobbs.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11am at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 am until 11 am.

Mac loved fishing, carpentry, playing cards, and being with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 36 years, Terry Denise Hobbs.

Mac is survived by six children, Shalonna Guy (Jason), Robin Dean (Christy), Lisa Hudgens (Danny), Joshua Hobbs (Rin), Robert Dean, and Julie Robins; fourteen grandchildren, Kyleigh Hobbs, Brandon Winters, Ariel Robbins, Ashton Robbins, Abagail Dean, Trenton Easterling, Dylan Hudgens, Allison Dean, Skylar Hobbs, Anslie Robbins, Cheyanne Dean, Savannah Dean, Dawson Dean and Ka`toria Moulten along with one great-grandchild Kaylani Perez.
