Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Byromville Baptist Church and Reverend Dennis Phillips will officiate.Burial will follow at Oliver Cemetery in Byromville, Georgia.
James was born on December 15, 1938 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Leo Hendrix and Geneva Pittman Hendrix.He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. James was kind hearted and all around loving person.
His memory will forever be treasured by his son, James R. Hendrix Jr. and wife Evette of Byromville, Georgia and two sisters; Frances Norton and Beverly Ruegg, both of Jacksonville, Florida.James was preceded in death by his loving spouse, Carolyn Ann Park Hendrix; one son, David Hendrix and a brother, Darryl Hendrix.
Donations may be given in memory of James Hendrix to Byromville Baptist Church, P. O. Box 126, Byromville, Georgia 31007.
