AMERICUS. GA - James Albert Carroll, 70, of Americus, GA passed away peacefully Sunday, July 23, 2023 in his home, with his family by his side.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 6 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 11 AM, in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Pastor David Jones officiating the service. Burial will follow at a later date in Oliver Cemetery near Byromville, GA.

James was born in Byromville, GA to the late J.D. Carroll and Effie Wood Carroll. James was a 1970 graduate of Vienna High School. James was a master carpenter and loved to build things.

James is survived by his loving wife, Donna Harper of Americus, GA; his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Carroll and Steven Bridges of Americus, GA; son, John Walls of Newnan, GA; two grandchildren, Austin Taylor Bridges and Ayden Tyler Carroll. James is also survived by many siblings.
