PITTS, GA - Mr. James "Jimmy" Monroe Bartlett, age 72, of Pitts, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. Reverend Jody McGinnis of F.I.S.H. Baptist Church of Seville, Georgia will officiate. Family will receive friends in the chapel one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park in Montezuma, Georgia.
He was born October 18, 1945 in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Horace Bartlett and Ruby Adams Bartlett.
Mr. Jimmy loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR and football.He was a member of the F.I.S.H Baptist Church in Seville, Georgia. He also ran the Hardy Farms Peanut Stand in Cordele for nine years.He was dearly loved by his grandchildren, who referred to him as Pa Peanut.
Survivors include his spouse, Elizabeth E. Bartlett and two sons, Jason Kennedy (Whitney) of Pitts, Georgia and Joe O'Neal (Tracy) of Douglas, Georgia; two daughters, Jamie Bartlett Clark (Paul) of Seville, Georgia and Jennifer Sanders (Dale) of Fitzgerald, Georgia; two brothers, Billy J. Bartlett (Evie) of Montezuma, Georgia and Johnny W. Bartlett (Donna) of Oglethorpe, Georgia.Also surviving are thirteen grand-children, Braxton Clark, Brenton Clark, Bryland Clark, Camden Kennedy, Caylee Kennedy, Callen Kennedy, Collin Sanders, Lizzy Sanders, Patricia Rheem, Malachi Rheem, Chason O'Neal, Jordan O'Neal and Katie Easom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lillian Bartlett Day of Ideal, Georgia and one grandchild, Caiden Sanders of Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Reflections Hospice, 202 E. 4th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia 31015.
