Hugh Dorsey Crook, age 82, of Montezuma, GA passed away Tuesday morning, February 10, 2009 at Oconee Regional Medical Center in Milledgeville, GA.
Funeral services were held at 2 PM. Thursday, February 12, at the First Baptist Church of Montezuma with Rev. Randy Gregg officiating. Interment followed in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma.
He was born on July 29, 1926 in Reynolds, GA to the late Henry Robert Crook and Eula Mae Cox Crook. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Montezuma, Chairman of the Macon County Commissioners and treasurer of the Macon County Lions Club. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Crook.
Survivors include his two sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel Dorsey Crook of Montezuma, GA, Hugh Gary and Ellen Crook of Centerville, GA and one sister, Henretta Scarcie of Perry, GA.
