Harris H. Woodard
January 18, 1930 — September 28, 2015
Mr. Woodard was born January 18, 1930 in Dooly County, GA, to the late Arthur Woodard and Levada Horton Woodard. He was a landscaper with Woodard Nursery. He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Woodard was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Mr. Woodard is survived by his wife, Kate Dent Woodard of Reynolds, GA; a son, Sam (Cheryl) Hines of Vienna, GA; a daughter, Marion Morrell of Reynolds, GA; and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Hines of Ideal, GA. He also leaves behind two sisters: Gladys Mixon and Ruth Bowen, both of Cordele, GA. In addition he leaves nine grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
