Mr. Harmon William Head, Sr., age 94, of Fort Valley, Georgia passed away Wednesday morning, November 3, 2021, at his residence.
A graveside service is scheduled for 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Andersonville National Cemetery. Rev. Terry Hendrix will officiate the service.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. to go in procession to Andersonville National Cemetery.
Born October 17, 1927, he was the son of the late Allen Head and Irene Murphy Head.He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.During his career, he worked for Life of Georgia and also owned a used car dealership. Mr. Harmon was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Byron, Georgia.His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. He also loved fishing and going to yard sales.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children; Harmon Head, Jr. (Jean) of Oglethorpe, GA., Sara Clark of Oglethorpe, GA., and Mickey Lee Head (Alicia) of Andersonville, GA., a stepson, Tommy Tucker, Jr., stepdaughter, Rhonda Tucker, two grandsons: Jason Lee Head and William Bradley Head; three step-granddaughters: Leigh Pritchett (Scott), Lori Bemke (Jon), and Lindsey Turner; four step-great-grandchildren: Riley Pritchett, Rad Pritchett, Tyler Bemke, Tatum Bemke, as well as a special friend, Peggy Lee, and daughter, Yvonne.
Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Nobles Head; two brothers: Allen Head, Jr. and Murphy Head; two sisters: Sarah Trask and Helen Jean Grace, and two grandchildren: Corey Allen Head and William James Brown.
