MONTEZUMA, GA - Mr. Gerald Joseph Lamby, age 87, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born March 22, 1930 to the late Lawrence Concenza and Catherine McCarthyConcenzain Hoboken, New Jersey.Mr. Lamby was the former owner of the Drummer Boy Museum in Andersonville, Georgia and also worked as a cargo surveyor with the New York Shipping Company.He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his loving wife, Valarie Lamby of Montezuma, Georgia; one daughter, Kathy and Joe Mansfield of Tennessee and three step-children; Sandra Franck of Sabastian, Florida,Mark Franck of Woodland Park, New Jersey, and Allan Franck of Barefoot Bay, Florida.Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Lamby.
