George Lynwood Akridge

Born November 19, 1972, in Reynolds, Georgia, he was the son of Frances Collins Akridge Amerson and the late George Albert Akridge. He loved spending time with his family and loved his music.
The family will receive friends at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla, Georgia on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. and Pastor Timothy Guined will officiate the service.
The family and friends are asked to assemble on the day of the service no later than 2:30 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Collins Akridge Amerson of Andersonville, Georgia; seven children: Shanna Walker (Donnie) of Elko, Georgia, Kevin Akridge of Elko, Georgia, Tiffany Akridge of Missouri, Eddie Lee Melvin Davis of Missouri, Corey Akridge (Mikayla) of Fort Valley, Georgia, Kayla Akridge of Vienna, Georgia and Cody Akridge of West Virginia; two brothers: James Edward Akridge of Augusta, Georgia and Glen Lee Akridge (Brandy) of Andersonville, Georgia. Also, surviving are five grandchildren: Candace Walker, Bailey Walker, Selena Thornwright, Adalyn Akridge, and Kelley Munsey. He was preceded in death by his father, George Albert Akridge.
Flowers will be accepted.
