Mr. Gary Hobbs, age 70, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Phoebe Sumter Hospital in Americus, Georgia.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 18th at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 19th at the Rostrum at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Georgia.
The family is asked to assemble at 9:00 AM at the funeral home to go in procession to Andersonville National Cemetery. We will be leaving the funeral home at 9:30 AM.

Born August 18, 1951, in Reynolds, Georgia, he was the son of the late Felton Hobbs and Louise Rogers Hobbs. Mr. Gary proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later, served in the National Guard.For many years he served his community as a police officer in Ft. Benning, Montezuma, Butler, and Reynolds, and later worked in construction business building houses. Mr. Gary was also a member of the Masons and Shiners.In his spare time, he loved playing music, racing, and football.
His memory will be forever be treasured by his companion of 25 years, Martha Ann Pinkard of Montezuma, Georgia; step daughter, Misty Pinkard, of Atlanta, GA; a step granddaughter, Heather Harper of Merrillville, Indiana; four brothers; Earl Hobbs (Brenda) of Ellerslie, Georgia, Mack Hobbs (Terri) of Ideal, Georgia, Robert Hobbs of Livingston, Texas, Eddie Hobbs of Junction City, Georgia, and two sisters; Gail Lane of Dawsonville, Georgia and June Skyrm of Oglethorpe, Georgia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Harold Hobbs, and Mazie Knight.
