ANDERSONVILLE, GA - Mr. Freddie Rogers, 82, of Andersonville, Georgia entered into rest on Saturday, March 30, 2019.
He was born in Vienna, Georgia on August 14, 1936 to the late Vasco Rogers and Mary Emily Standridge Rogers. Freddie was a self-employed logger for many years.He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He was of Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing when he got a chance.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.Rev. Scotty Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Valley Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia.Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Watson Mathews Funeral Home.
His memory will forever be treasured by his three children: Freddie Joe Rogers of Andersonville, Georgia, Randy Rogers of Vienna, Georgia, and Sharon "Sally" J. Bohannon of Andersonville, Georgia; two sisters: Connie Cranford (William) of Kathleen, Georgia andWessie Messer of Oglethorpe, Georgia. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Shannon Rogers of Montezuma, Georgia, Angel Rogers Smith of Cordele, Georgia, Jeffrey Adams of Montezuma, Georgia, Brandy Davis (Matthew) of Ellaville, Jason Adams (Abigail) of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Amanda Cromer (Steven) of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Emily Rogers of Oglethorpe, Georgia.He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Altman Rogers, three children: Brian Keith Rogers, William David Rogers and Karen Ann Rogers; one brother, Eddie Rogers and one sister, Clara Johnson..
