OGLETHORPE, GA - Mrs. Frances Jean Brown, age 80, of Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Miona Geriatric & Dementia Center in Ideal, Georgia.
Frances was born April 2, 1939 in Bonifay, Florida to the late Johnny Lorine Mills and Lillian Levins Mills.She was a member of Emanuel Church of God of Prophecy in Montezuma, Georgia.Frances loved her vacation trips, doing search-a-word puzzles and watching television.Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and her dogs.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.Rev. Clinton Fields and Minister Jerald Crawford will officiate.Burial will follow at Palmer Cemetery in Marion County, Georgia.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her two children: Fran Brown (Barry Wiseman) of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Johnny "Billy" Brown (Rhoshunda) of Reynolds, Georgia; three siblings: Johnny Mills (Kelly) of Eaton, Colorado, Patricia Crawford (Jerald) of Eufaula, Alabama and Nancy Mills of Columbus, Georgia and one grand-child, Ciara Brown. Frances is preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnny Cleo Brown.
