Florrie Jean Crook, age 83, of Marshallville, GA passed away Monday morning, August 10, 2009 at Flint River Hospital in Montezuma, GA.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 13 at Marshallville Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Carter officiated. Entombment followed in Marshallville City Cemetery Mausoleum.
The family received friends on Wednesday, Aug 12 at Mrs. Crook's residence, 404 W. Main Street in Marshallville until 7 PM.
Born in Macon County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Presley Payne and Dossie Louise Underwood Payne. She was a homemaker and a member of Marshallville Baptist Church. She was a wonderful seamstress and cook. She also had a passionate love for cats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Earl Crook.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Chuck Fain of Phoenix, AZ; son and daughter-in-law, Donny and Ginny Crook of Marshallville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Nell Payne of Oglethorpe, GA; 4 grandchildren, Sissy Jones, Stephanie Barr, Leighton Fain and Taylor Crook and 3 great grandchildren, Hanna Jones, Claire Jones and Reid Barr.
