Evelyn Rose Miller passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2024. Born on January 2, 1988, she was 36 years old when she drew her last breath and entered into her eternal reward. Though her last four years of her life were spent fighting cancer, her strength and resilience shone through even her most difficult days. She was a faithful Christian, being baptized at Montezuma Mennonite Church after giving her life to the Lord in her teen years and faithfully attended Word of Life Christian Fellowship up to her death. Her love and dedication to her family was evident in everything she did and her kindness and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was surrounded by her beloved family at the time of her death and her husband, George S. Miller, was at her side. They were married on October 2, 2010 when she was 22 years old and they shared 14 years together. They lived in Iowa briefly after their marriage before coming to Montezuma to raise their family. They were blessed with three beautiful children, Alaina, Bryson, and Olivia, who were the delight of her life. She was the eldest daughter of Marvin and Bertha (Plank) Yoder and was adopted into their home when she was a baby. She was a precious bundle of joy and an answer to 9 long years of prayer and longing for a child. She will be dearly missed by all of her siblings; Timothy (Regine “Gina”) Yoder, Loretta (Samuel) Peachey, Michael (Mellissa) Yoder, Diana (Jason) Yoder, and Lucinda Yoder. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whose lives were all touched by her kindness. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Rufus and Mary Yoder and Isaac and Amanda Plank. Visitation services will be held at Word of Life Christian Fellowship on Tuesday, November 5th, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. then 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 6th, at 10:00 a.m., also at Word of Life, with a graveside service immediately following the funeral.
