Mrs. Eva Bramblett, age 94, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at The Oaks Nursing & Personal Care Home in Marshallville. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 10, 2023 in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA. Interment will follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma, GA. Pastor Mark Poole will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Mrs. Bramblett was born May 25, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Robert C. and Evie Mae Gunter. Mrs. Bramblett was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Montezuma, GA, since moving to Montezuma in 1957, and a loyal member of the Edna Reid/Bethany Sunday School Class, as well as of the adult choir until 2006. Eva began her employment in Montezuma at the Macon County Clinic. She also worked at the Federal Land Bank; Flint Gas, which subsequently became Suburban Gas and then Pargas; and retired from Southern Frozen Foods in 1996. Eva was raised in Fulton County, living for several years at Georgia Baptist Children’s Home in Hapeville. She graduated from Hapeville High School, then attended Bessie Tift College in Forsyth, GA. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Hagen Cannon of Aberdeen,North Carolina. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Nicole Marino (Michael) of Aberdeen, NC; and, David Recker II (Alexa) of Wesley Chapel, FL, as well as two beloved great-grandchildren, Colin Marino and Cade Marino, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett R. Bramblett; her daughter, Susan Diane Hagen; her brother, Robert Gunter; and her sister, Nan Perry. Family requests, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 357, Montezuma, GA 31063.
