Eure Bell Arthur

Mrs. Eure Bell Arthur, age 82 of Montezuma, GA passed away Monday morning, February 1, 2010 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. She was a resident of Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Savannah for the past 6 months.

Funeral services were held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Feb. 3 in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma with Rev. Wendell Waller officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus.

Born Nov. 14, 1927 in Parrott, GA. She was the daughter of the late Carols Deese and Seronia Hancock Deese. She was a faithful member of Dooling Baptist Church in Dooly County, GA and retired as a seamstress at Forrest Mills.

Survivors include her 3 children, Danny (Billie) Arthur of Americus, GA, David Arthur of Millen, GA and Brenda Arthur of Montezuma, GA; 3 grandchildren, Tracy Arthur, Terry (Vicky) Arthur both of Millen, GA and Karen (James) Collins of Bloomingdale, GA and 9 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Diane Peaster and a grandson, Alan Arthur.

Memorial gifts may be made to Dooling Baptist Church.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma, GA had charge of arrangements.
