OGLETHORPE, GA - Mrs. Emogene Law, age 84, of Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia.
She was born November 23, 1932 in Ideal, Georgia, to the late Lewis Wood and Katie Kelly Wood. Mrs. Emogene was a faithful member of Whitewater Baptist Church and also a member of Fidelis Sunday School Class.Over the years, she worked for Macon County Clinic, Flint River Hospital, and most recently she retired from the Oaks Nursing Home.
Funeral Services are planned for 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Whitewater Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, Georgia, with Reverend Chris Hall and Reverend Mark Poole officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jeff Law. Survivors include five daughters: Lucretia and Jim Henderson of Montezuma, Georgia, Cindy Law of Montezuma, Georgia, Cheryl and Ron Shugart of Unadilla, Georgia, Cathy and Greg Patterson of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Tammi and Alan Kitchens of Acworth, Georgia;one sister, Catherine Sweigart of Warner Robins, Georgia; two brothers: Harry Wood of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Max Wood and Luanne Wood of Montezuma, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Gail Forrester (Clay) , Russell Mann Jr. (Keturah), Will Patterson, Josh Patterson (Paige), Erica Kitchens and Andrew Kitchens, Liz Wilson (Kevin).Also surviving are four great-grandchildren: Meghan Fecso, Cheyenne Mann, Kolton Kitchens and Dalton Kitchens along with many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Flowers will be accepted. For those wishing to do so, memorials may be made to Whitewater Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
