OGLETHORPE, GA - Mrs. Emma English Fullbright, age 93, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Saturday morning, March 15, 2014 at The Oaks Nursing & Personal Care Home in Marshallville, GA.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 1:00 PM until time of funeral services at 3:00 PM at Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, GA with Elder Dennis Johnson and her nephew, Dr. Ron English officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was born on April 24, 1920 in Oglethorpe, GA to the late Sam Joe English, Sr. and Mittie Catherine Smith English. She was a member of Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church and worked with Manhattan Shirt Factory in Americus before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Henry Collum and second husband William Paul Fullbright, a son, Mike Collum, six brothers and four sisters.
She leaves behind a step daughter, Lee Usry (Bobby) of Tifton, GA; two granddaughters, Joni Taunton (Jamey) of Warner Robins, GA and Lacey Chandler of Montezuma, GA; two step grandchildren, Robbie Usry (Debbie) and Kim Royal of Tifton, GA; two great grandchildren, Spencer Taunton and Addyson Taunton; three step great grandchildren, Meagan Mayne (Jacob), Matthew Royal and Michael Royal; former daughter-in-law, Brenda Chandler (Don) of Montezuma, GA; brother, Sam Joe English, Jr. of Warner Robins, GA; two sisters-in-law, Polly English of Ideal, GA and Hilda English of Oglethorpe, GA; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
