FORT PIERCE, FL - Mrs. Elsie Price Chambley, age 78, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away Tuesday evening, April 19, 2016 at her son's residence in Clayton, GA. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Price and Rev. Tim Price officiating. Interment to follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park.
Mrs. Chambley was born April 20, 1937 in Vienna, GA, to the late Ralph Sanford Price and Jennie Adel Fowler Price. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Henry Chambley.
Mrs. Chambley is survived by two sons: Kent (Karen) Chambley of Perry, GA, and Glenn (Mona) Chambley of Clayton, GA; and a daughter, Karen Lee Chambley (Charles) Alexander of Rabun Gap, GA. She also leaves behind five brothers: Ralph (Viola) Price of Montezuma, GA, Dick (Dean) Price of Montezuma, GA, Mike Price of Montezuma, GA, Cleo Price of Americus, GA, and Burl Price of Columbus, GA; and three sisters: Adele Crook of Montezuma, GA, Mozelle Peaster of Perry, GA, and Tina Beamon of Smithville, GA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
