Elmer "Tom" Rimes

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 21, 2017 at Stillwater Chapel in Ideal, Georgia with Rev. Roy Peterson officiating.
Mr. Rimes was born on June 3, 1945 in Tampa, FL to the late Elmer Arlie Rimes, Sr. and Hazel Estelle Busbee Rimes. He worked for 35 years with CE Minerals in Andersonville, GA and was a member of Stillwater Chapel in Ideal, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie "Pearl" Rimes of Andersonville, GA; 4 children, Estelle (John) Lawhorn of Bonaire, GA, Kim (Dan) Ward of Savannah, GA, Elmer "Bubba" (Elizabeth) Arlie Rimes III of Columbus, Ohio and Regina Jackson of Andersonville, GA; 2 sisters, Donna Mae Jones of Andersonville, GA, Diane Roberson of Gainesville, FL; 2 brothers, Andy Rimes of Chatsworth, GA and Harold Rimes of Valrico, FL; 11 grandchildren, Richard (Chastity) Jackson,Ashley Nicole Jackson, Morgan Rimes, Austin Rimes, Ashley Moore, Rebecca Lawhorn, Robin Battreal (James), Rachel Rodgers (Thomas), Jesse Ward, Jacob Ward and Julia Ward; 8 great grandchildren, Alexus Lones, Elena Jackson, Jamarious Bailey, Jr., King Bailey, Ella June Battreal, J. T. Battreal, Camryn Rodgers and Renea Rodgers. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
