Earl Eugene Thompson, 53, of Oglethorpe passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at Flint River Community Hospital.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 3 pm in the Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Kirksey and Rev. Troy Fripp officiating. Burial will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Thompson was born June 13, 1958 to Mr. Eugene Thompson and the late Carolyn Wilson Thompson. He was employed by Allen's as a refrigeration mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Thompson; father and step-mother, Eugene and Inez Thompson; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Tonya Rodgers, Rocky and Becky Thompson, Ryan and Amy Thompson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwayne and Dede Childree, Mark and Tammy Brown; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette & Danny Robinson, Inez and Mitchell Stuckey, and Connie and Adrian Youngblood. Mr. Thompson is also survived by ten grandchildren.
