Doris Frederick Robinson, age 84, of Montezuma, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Magnolia Manor in Americus, GA. She was born on August 29, 1925, in West Palm Beach, FL. She was a retired secretary with the Macon County High School. A member of Montezuma United Methodist Church, Mrs. Robinson was active in the United Methodist Women and The Joy Club. She was also a member of the Duplicate Bridge Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Robinson. She is survived by 4 daughters: Jane Hobbs and her husband Buddy of Oglethorpe, GA; Anne Roberts of Montezuma; Susan Barr and her husband Wade of Americus; Laurie McGray of Elizabethtown, KY; brother Cecil "Huelette" Frederick and his wife Shirley of Tifton; sister-in-law Betty Robinson; 10 grandchildren: Ryan (Camee) Hobbs; Adam Hobbs; Clete (Jan) Roberts; Angie (Richard) Collier; Jamie Roberts; Chris (Christi) Barr; Charles Barr; Morgan (Gerald) Walbeck; Stephanie McGray, and Leah McGray; 3 great grandchildren: Keely Dixon, David Barr, and Chloe Roberts; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 8 at the Montezuma United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Myers, Rev. Joy Wilson, and Rev. Nancylee Cater officiating Burial will follow at the Felton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m.
